Karen Reeves‑Toppin is a singer, musician, and the Choir Director of Medway Can Sing CIC, where she leads community choirs in Strood and Rochester. Known for her warm, soulful vocal style and inclusive approach to music‑making, Karen creates uplifting spaces where people feel confident, connected, and celebrated.
During the COVID‑19 lockdowns, she hosted the weekly online series “I Sing”, which culminated in the special Christmas edition “I Sing With Friends”, bringing together voices from across the community.
Alongside her performance work, Karen is launching the Council‑approved HealthyWay Community Programme in Chatham, a 12‑week initiative focused on food, nutrition, movement, and sustainable wellbeing. She also develops youth arts and wellbeing projects, including the school‑based choir programme MaSo Uplift.
Karen’s work is rooted in joy, community, and the belief that music has the power to uplift and transform.
